In Guatemala, SHARE\u00a0leads the development of an innovation <\/span>laboratory that aimed to reduce maize post-harvest losses, which was sponsored<\/b> by USAID's Feed the Future and led by the Kansas State University. The same was leveraged in innovative thinking and allowed\nthe development of different strategies for capacity growth for more than 300 small farmers and their families, as well as the development of manuals for trainers with a gender approach, the adaptation of relevant\ntechnologies and the implementation of different strategies for the dissemination of information with a gender approach to local and national actors, accompanied by technical training for students from\ndifferent local universities (USAC, CUNOROC), government agricultural\nagents (MAGA, VIDER) resulting in more than 1,000 participants. SHARE also promotes cultural exchange through impactful experiences between host communities and visitors in order to inspire them to change both their lives and their society by means of various activities\nand projects in Guatemala through\u00a0<\/span> SHARE Tours<\/span><\/a>\u00a0.19 projects led by university students from different parts of the world were developed, thanks to alliances with universities from: Kansas State University, Emlyon University, University of Wisconsin Madison and Rafael Land\u00edvar University of Guatemala.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It was achieved through the strengthening of local municipal capacities for risk management and the <\/span>project for the strengthening of municipal and community capacities for risk management and\ngender inclusion<\/b> carried out from 2014 to 2018 with the support of USAID OFDA and SE-CONRED, and it directly benefitted vulnerable populations in disadvantaged social contexts in the departments of Quetzaltenango, Retalhuleu, San Marcos, Escuintla, Sacatep\u00e9quez,\nChimaltenango, Guatemala, and Zacapa.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
